Better protection for young online users – an EU solution for age verification

Thanks to digital technology children and young people today have almost limitless opportunities to learn, connect and grow. But we are increasingly witnessing how these opportunities can also come with real risks and affect young people’s wellbeing and safety.  This is why the EU is working hard together with experts and young people themselves to make the online world safer and better for all. 

As part of this, the EU has developed an age verification solution based on the highest privacy standards. It is user friendly and open-source, so that all EU countries can adapt and implement it easily. Interested in the technical details? Read more here.
