State of the Union 2023 - In brief
On 13 September, the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, opened the new political year with her annual speech, the “State of the Union”, in the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

EU young translators' contest kicks off!
Secondary schools in all EU countries can now start enrolling for Juvenes Translatores, the European Commission's annual translation contest.

European day of languages 2023
26 September is European day of languages (EDL). The general aim of this event is to encourage and maintain Europe's rich linguistic and cultural diversity.
