Cyberbullying is a pressing online safety issue affecting young people across Europe. It occurs on social media, messaging apps, and gaming platforms, impacting 1 in 6 teenagers, with 1 in 8 admitting they've participated in it. Recognising the seriousness of cyberbullying, the European Commission has crafted an action plan against cyberbullying to empower children, parents, carers, and educators with the tools and knowledge necessary to report and combat this form of bullying. This initiative, part of President von der Leyen's 2024-2029 guidelines, aims to create a safer digital environment for young people.
