As an educator, you are at the heart of Europe’s digital transformation. To support you in this journey, the European Commission has four new sets of guidelines designed to support you across four key areas in digital education: using artificial intelligence (AI)and data ethically in education, promoting digital literacy and tackling disinformation, making informed choices on digital education content, and teaching high-quality informatics. The guidelines are a flagship initiative of the Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027) and are designed to support specialist and generalist schoolteachers in navigating the impact and opportunities of the digital transformation of education with confidence. They provide practical guidance, ready-to-use classroom examples, and clear quality criteria, alongside up-to-date definitions of key concepts in digital education.
