The European Day of Languages has been celebrated annually since 2001 by the European Commission. It is a wonderful initiative that embraces the vast diversity and multitude of cultures that coexist in Europe.

With almost 450 million European Union citizens and 24 official EU languages, it’s important to appreciate the diversity that Europe boasts. That’s why the European Day of Languages serves as a great reminder of how we should be proud of our vast linguistic and cultural heritage.

Multilingual mini language courses, online quizzes, translation workshops, language fairs,  travelling book exhibitions and many more events are organised across the EU this month. Check them out!
