Take action against antimicrobial resistance – together we can make a difference!

Take action against antimicrobial resistance – together we can make a difference!

From 18-24 November we celebrate World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week – a global initiative to tackle the growing threat of resistance to antibiotics and other antimicrobial medicines. This issue can affect anyone, anywhere, with serious consequences for health and society. Now everyone has a role to play in the fight against antimicrobial resistance. Why not bring this crucial topic into your classroom, as part of a science or citizenship curriculum, or of a health lesson?

Whether your aim is to raise awareness or explore the science behind antimicrobial resistance in more depth, the “Only Up: Beat the Bug” teaching material gives learners both knowledge and agency. With, ultimately, a shared mission: beat resistance before it beats us.
