On 24 January, the world celebrates the International Day of Education, adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 2018 to highlight the contribution of education to peace and development. Last year, the covid-19 pandemic disrupted education profoundly. The learning of millions of young people was put on hold. In 2021, it is all the more important to highlight that everyone has the right to education. Education is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty, erase gender inequalities and stimulate economic growth.
