How can we make the internet a safer place for everyone?

Two new leaflets are now available with practical online safety tips – one for children and teenagers, and one for parents and caregivers. These resources build on the work of the European Commission's Special Panel on child safety online, bringing expert knowledge and young people's perspectives together to help create a safer digital future for all.

The leaflets cover everyday topics such as protecting personal information, recognising scams, thinking before sharing, understanding how AI can be misleading, and knowing where to get help if something goes wrong. Parents will also find advice on healthy screen habits, age-appropriate apps, and keeping conversations about online safety open as children grow.
