Nature is all around us — in the soil, the trees and flowers in our parks, and the animals and insects that share our world. It helps keep us healthy and happy, cleans our air and water, grows our food, cools our cities, and protects us from floods and storms.

But now, nature needs our help. Pollution, climate change, and the overuse of resources are damaging ecosystems and threatening wildlife across the world. The good news? Everyone can help protect and restore nature one step at a time.

This year, EU Green Week (1-5 June) and World Environment Day (5 June) invites us all to think about how we can protect and restore nature. Through the #ForOurPlanet campaign, young people, families, schools, and communities are encouraged to take part in nature restoration — helping damaged ecosystems recover and thrive again.

Could you plant pollinator-friendly flowers, reduce waste, join a clean-up activity, or spend more time exploring nature? Also, be sure to check out the EU Green Week’s partner events taking place across Europe. Every action for our planet counts!
