Does your school have a project that helps students explore the ocean and our connection to it? Apply to become a European Blue School by 15 December!
The Network of European Blue Schools brings together schools across Europe to make ocean literacy part of education. From investigating a local river to exploring marine ecosystems, school projects can help students understand the ocean's importance and how we can protect it.
Schools in the EU and countries associated with Horizon Europe can apply for certification if they meet the four essential criteria:
- Develop a project with interlinked activities
- Produce a clear output
- Ensure meaningful participation of all students involved in the project
- Communicate project results
Successful applicants receive a European Blue School Certificate and join a pan-European community of educators, with opportunities for training, partnerships and collaboration.
Ready to make waves? Check the criteria and submit your application in English by 15 December. Your project must already be underway or completed.
