Every year on 12 August, International Youth Day celebrates the energy, creativity and ideas that young people bring to our societies. It is also an opportunity to recognise the important role they play in building a more democratic, inclusive and sustainable future.
The European Union is committed to ensuring that young people have the knowledge, skills and opportunities to participate actively in society. From climate action and digital transformation to media literacy and civic engagement, today's young people are helping to shape tomorrow's Europe.
