A recent Eurobarometer survey on gender stereotypes looks into topics like the sexualisation of women, consent, abuse, rape and cyberviolence, across the European Union and in each individual Member State. The survey helps to understand the attitudes of Europeans citizens towards violence, and the relativisation of violent or humiliating behaviours. Gender-based stereotypes and violence against women often lead to women being discriminated, victimised and marginalised.
